Who We Are
The International Women’s Society was founded in 1957 in Lagos by a group of International public spirited women. Women are one of the most powerful agents in bringing about world change. The International Women’s Society was founded to work for the advancement of women of all races, and to encourage and develop the common interests of women.
Its aims and objectives are:
A. To foster and promote international understanding among all people;
B. To work for the advancement of women and children in Nigeria
C. To help and provide cultural exchanges for women of all races in the area of home making, children, social welfare, health, home finance and education.

— Skill Acquisition
The Skills Acquisition Centre was set up in 1999 by Dame Marie Fatayi-Williams as a centre to rehabilitate the children for gainful employment.
— Widows Trust Fund
Established by Mrs. Ijeoma Asala in 1998, the Widows Trust Fund ensures widows empowered to build a future for themselves and their children.
— Social Services
In 2010 we decided to set up a home for abandoned babies and children in Ijebu, Ogun State to meet the basic needs of orphaned and abandoned children in the state.
— Day Nursery
Built in 1961 and situated in Yaba the Day Nursery aims to dramatically improve the academic ability of toddlers by giving them a head start in their education
— LUTH Library Trolley
The LUTH Library was set up in 1968 out of the need to provide succor to hospital patients and provide entertainment, by way of reading materials such as a selection of books, magazines and newspapers.
